The CJL is a journalism research program that uncovers the major challenges facing American journalists and publications today.
The need for a simple, but powerful logo mark to match the organization’s name was clear, as well as a need for an integrated site on par with its parent organization. The process involved an initial discovery phase and design iterations that resulted in a deep-blue flame (of liberty) icon with initials at the base, as well as a new site to index and publish its growing content.
