Zippity B2C Booking
UI / UX • Competitive Research • User Interviews • Design System
Zippity is a mobile booking software for operators of small-to-medium-sized mobile auto businesses offering on-demand services.
After a robust design process that included initial competitive research, stakeholder and customer interviews, analysis of the existing user base and their preferences, we arrived at a streamlined and essential booking flow . This white-labeled flow integrates into a business-customer’s website and allows their own customers to seek and book services easily.
I collaborated closely with Development and Sales teams to identify key objectives with the ultimate goal of improving rates of booking completion and reducing drop-off.
Design decisions based on research and discovery findings:
User and stakeholder interviews revealed preference and priority to view all services offered first, placing customer information input AFTER selecting desired service. This sequence allows the customer to browse services offered, make selection, and then provide their car’s year, make and model information for exact pricing, for example. This back loads the cognitive effort required from the customer until they are ready to purchase.
Simplified scheduling calendar and availability display defaults to next available slot according to feasible location, drive-time and availability.
Comprehensive ‘plug-and-play’ Design System was included (based on Ant Design) for consistency and scaling of product.
